Avionics Repair & Installation
The KBFS Part 145 Repair Station and General Aviation Maintenance facility are located at Draughon-Miller Airport in Temple, TX. KBFS offers on-site services at Temple and is able to provide many services off-site at the customer location, if different from Draughon-Miller Airport. The following paragraphs describe many of the maintenance services KBFS offers. KBFS is a recognized leader in Central Texas for installing avionics, radios, and navigation in rotary and fixed wing aircraft for General Aviation Owners and flight academies operated by private industry, technical schools, and other institutions of higher learning. KBFS is one of the leading ADS-B installers in Texas. KBFS has on-site capability to test and analyze many different types of radios, navigation, flight and electrical systems.

General Aviation Maintenance
The KBFS General Aviation Maintenance program is collocated with the Part 145 Avionics Installation and Repair Station at Temple Draughon-Miller Airport. The GA Maintenance shop has the capability to provide inspections, repairs, services and equipment installation for most General Aviation fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, and a selected number of legacy and advanced military aircraft. The shop is staffed by a Chief Mechanic with more than 30 years of experience in aviation maintenance and by FAA fully certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanics. All have completed aircraft maintenance-qualification programs through training offered by the US Military, Technical Schools, or other institutions of higher learning.

Robinson Helicopter Service Center
KBFS was granted status as a Robinson Helicopter Service Center. KBFS was evaluated on its facilities, tools, personnel and training, which were all determined to be excellent. As a result, KBFS is authorized to perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements on Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters.
To celebrate this achievement KBFS is offering a one-time introductory discount of 5% on your first service with KBFS, to include the 2200-hour overhaul.
